Gravity Band Filter

How Our Gravity Band Filter Works
  1. Slurry Introduction
    • The influent slurry (liquid with suspended solids) is delivered onto the top end of a moving media filter belt (usually made of polyester or polypropylene mesh).
  2. Gravity Separation
    • The filter media is inclined slightly downward or laid horizontally.
    • As the slurry flows along the media, gravity pulls the liquid through the porous media while solids remain on top.
  3. Filtrate Collection
    • The filtered liquid (filtrate) drains through the media into a collection pan or tank below.
  4. Solids Transport
    • The media slowly moves forward (driven by a motor), carrying the retained solids with it.
  5. Solids Discharge
    • At the discharge end, the spent media and solids are dumped into a collection bin or conveyor for further processing or disposal.
