Custom Reverse Osmosis Systems

Standard RO Systems

Hard water. Dissolved solids. Scaling. Chlorine. Left untreated, your feed water degrades equipment, compromises coating adhesion, and drives up maintenance costs, often before anyone realizes water is the problem.

ALSI Reverse Osmosis Systems are custom engineered to your source water chemistry, delivering the exact purity your process demands while keeping energy use and operating costs in check.

 Engineered In, Not Added On

Every system ships complete with everything your operation needs to run reliably from day one, no add-ons, no surprises.

Standard Features:

  • 1-micron inlet cartridge filtration
  • Integrated anti-scalant dosing
  • Automated membrane flush sequence
  • Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI controls, pre-wired and ready to run
  • Fully actuated inlet and flush valves for hands-off, repeatable operation
  • Industrial-grade 304 SS high-pressure piping and Schedule 80 PVC low-pressure piping

Built In Monitoring:

  • Inlet and outlet conductivity monitoring
  • Permeate and reject flow measurement
  • pH and ORP monitoring at the system inlet
  • Pressure gauges and transmitters at key points throughout the system

Not all water treatment challenges are the same, and neither are the systems built to solve them. ALSI offers two configurations, so you get exactly the purity your process demands, without over-engineering or overspending.

97% Purity with Single Pass

Scale, dissolved salts, heavy metals, and chlorine are quietly degrading your equipment, fouling your systems, and adding to your maintenance costs. Left unchecked, contaminated process water shortens equipment life, compromises coating quality, and introduces variability that costs you time and money to correct.

ALSI’s single-pass RO system forces your feed water through one high-pressure membrane, removing up to 97% of those contaminants and delivering clean, reliable process water that protects your equipment and keeps your operation running consistently, day after day.

Best for: Automotive pretreatment, boiler and cooling tower feed, coating process water, general industrial manufacturing.

99% Purity with Double Pass

When a single part per million can mean a failed batch, a rejected coating, or a compromised result, standard purity isn’t good enough. Some processes operate in environments where trace dissolved solids can damage precision components, invalidate test results, or put regulatory compliance at risk.

ALSI’s double-pass system routes the purified output of the first membrane stage directly into a second RO stage, achieving 99%+ contaminant rejection. The result is ultra-pure water with virtually zero dissolved solids, consistent, reliable, and engineered for the applications where getting it wrong isn’t an option.

Best for: Water test booths, pharmaceutical and laboratory applications, electronics manufacturing, RO-EDI feed water.

How Reverse Osmosis Works

Reverse osmosis is a powerful water filtration process that forces water under high pressure through a semipermeable membrane. Only water molecules pass through, leaving behind dissolved salts, minerals, and contaminants. This results in highly purified water collected for use, while waste (brine) containing impurities is discarded or treated separately.

The RO process includes:

  1. Pre-Treatment: Sediment and carbon filters protect the membrane by removing larger particles, chlorine, and organic matter.
  2. High-Pressure Filtration: Water molecules are pushed through a 0.0001-micron membrane, rejecting salts and impurities.
  3. Wastewater Disposal: Concentrated contaminants are flushed away.
  4. Storage and Delivery: Purified water is stored and dispensed on demand.

What Does RO Effectively Remove?

Our RO systems effectively remove a wide range of impurities, including but not limited to:

  • Fluoride
  • Arsenic
  • Salt
  • Chlorine
  • PFAS
  • Heavy metals
  • VOCs
  • Microplastics
  • Herbicides, pesticides, and more

Turn-Key Solutions with Exceptional Customer Support

We deliver turn-key RO systems that combine advanced equipment, optimized system design, and complete water treatment capabilities. ALSI’s commitment extends beyond installation with ongoing support designed to maintain long-term system performance and reliability.

As RO systems operate, conditions such as fouling, scaling, and operating imbalances can reduce efficiency and increase costs. To address this, ALSI provides RO System Optimization Audits, working directly with your team onsite to evaluate performance, identify issues early, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.

ALSI support includes:

  • Maintenance contracts and ongoing service support
  • Job-specific installation drawings
  • Replacement membranes and cartridges
  • Onsite RO system optimization audits and performance evaluations
  • Expert guidance to restore efficiency, reduce operating costs, and extend membrane life

Experience the ALSI difference: custom-designed systems backed by expert engineering and proactive, data-driven support to keep your system operating at peak efficiency.

Clean-In-Place (CIP) Systems for RO Maintenance

To extend membrane life and maintain peak system performance, ALSI offers CIP (Clean-In-Place) Systems designed for efficient, on-site cleaning.

Options Include:

  • Integral Mounted CIP Systems: Pre-piped and pre-wired onto the RO skid with a free-standing cleaning tank.
  • Skid-Mounted CIP Systems: A dedicated, portable skid for servicing multiple RO systems.

Our CIP systems efficiently manage scale buildup, biological fouling, and organic deposits, supporting long-term system efficiency.
